Profile: I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice for over 11 years. Previously I had lengthy experience of working in large and medium size organisations and I think that breath of experience comes through in my client work. I have been an executive coach and still work as a consultant in that field. I have worked for a number of Employee Assistance Programmes. My practice is ethnically and culturally diverse, in fact diverse in every way, including the presenting issues which clients bring. Someone who knows my work well described me as “thorough and direct in style, nothing phases you in the consulting room although you have worked with clients who have suffered very serious and painful personal tragedies.” I have a lively sense of humour and enjoy bringing that aspect of myself into my work when apprpriate. I trained as an integrative body psychotherapist which means that my work is based on an integration of a number of different psychotherapeutic approaches. This is important in ensuring that I can tailor my approach to what works for a client. Qualifications and Accreditations: I have a cascade diploma in individual and group supervision Other relevant Training: Ihave a practitioner level qualification in NLP and have also completed a training in Trauma with Babette Rothschikd Theoretical Approach: I do hands on work with my clients occasionally when required.
