The United Kingdom is hosting the 13th Congress of the European Association for Body Psychotherapy.
The conference is a joint venture between the CABP and the EABP taking place between 14th and 17th of September 2012 in Cambridge, UK.

Congress themes are:

  • Early attachment
  • Social bonding in adults
  • Relational body psychotherapy
  • Eco-psychology, social justice
  • Embodied conflict exploration

 

 

Confirmed speakers are Prof. Daniel N. Stern, Prof. Stephen Porges, and also Prof. Rubens Kignel, PhD, body psychotherapist, from Brazil. Stephen Porges and Sue Carter will also co-present a one-day workshop. Mary Jayne Rust will speak about eco-psychology, and Jean-Claude and Arlene Audergon will facilitate a large group process on embodied conflict resolution. Merete Holm Brantbjerg will give an opening keynote. There will be a panel on relational body psychotherapy consisting of Shoshi Asheri, Asaf  Rolef Ben-Shahar, Roz Carroll, Michael Soth, and Nick Totton. 

There will be parallel presentations by Carmen Joanne Ablack, Lily Anagnostopoulou, Eric Wolterstorff and Herbert Grassmann, and a panel discussion chaired by Tom Warnecke.

The congress will be followed by a Symposium entitled The Science of Body Psychotherapy: From Research to Practice and from Practice to Research.

Pre and Post congress workshops will be announced shortly.

Accommodation will be available in nearby Cambridge University colleges.
