|Ongoing Body Psychotherapy Group|
Facilitator: Christopher Osborne
This group will allow you to explore how you inhabit your body and your self and what may be in the way of inhabiting it more fully; how our histories are written in our bodies, and how we relate to each other; verbally, physically and energetically.
Exploring oneself within an on-going and committed group is an extraordinary and healing experience. It will give you the opportunity to redefine how you are with others and with yourself in a safe and supportive environment. The group will be a safe space in which to reflect, interact, experiment and play. You will be gently invited to be present as a whole person.
Each meeting will include opportunities to talk about your week, to engage with the issues and stories of your life and to be supported by the group. This will be facilitated where appropriate by using dialogue, movement and voice-work. I will use my skills and experience to facilitate this and will invite group members to contribute to each other’s processes.
The body can be thought of as the place where the unconscious mind resides. The hurts and the joys that we have experienced are stored within our bodies and written in our posture, our tissues and our nervous system. The group is a way of more fully owning oneself, taking charge of our potential, and regaining ownership of our bodies, with all the pains and triumphs to be found there.
