July 2010 marked the end of an era in the history of Body psychotherapy in the UK when the Chiron Centre for Body Psychotherapy in Ealing closed its door. The centre was originally set up in 1983 by Bernd Eiden, Jochen Lude and Rainer Pervöltz.

Many of the activities of the centre have now been taken over by the Chiron Association for Body Psychotherapists – CABP.

There are many ways to get involved with the CABP and the world of Body Psychotherapy. CABP is a national accrediting organisation for Body Psychotherapists in the UK. The association provides a professional peer network and a dynamic forum for communication, co-operation and dialogue amongst its members and with the wider field of psychotherapy. Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication in Psychotherapy by Gill Westland, founding director of the Cambridge Body Psychotherapy Centre, is the latest addition to the CABP Bookshop and published August 2015.  Gill Westland writes on the implicit communications analyzed alongside verbal communication in therapy.
